Gatorade launched a new ad campaign during Friday night’s NBA playoffs. The campaign is meant to reposition Gatorade from the last year’s depressing “G” platform. This campaign tries demonstrate that this drink is not just a hydrating sports drink; and intends to get consumers to drink Gatorade products before, during and after workouts and other athletic activities.
I love the way it leverages the brand heritage and connects back to the future of G-Series products! The song is very catchy too. For me this commercial is an out and out winner, but will be very interesting to see how it plays for Gatorade in near future.
